About the Chocolate Festival - tickets are now available!
This year, the Austin Chocolate Festival will help raise money and community awareness for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The Annual Chocolate Festival has raised over $5,000 for the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen and we hope to help raise at least that much for Walk MS. We need the help of the community and the festival guests to help us reach our goals. There are several ways you can contribute besides attending the festival. We have sponsorship and volunteer opportunities available. The chocolate lovers event consists of local chocolatiers and chocolate artisans including restaurants, bakeries, chocolatiers, patisseries, authors, and catering companies from Texas. The vendors compete against each other in several categories, offer samples to festival guests, and sell their products.
The goals of the Austin Chocolate Festival are:
1. Raise money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis by creating an Austin Chocolate Festival Walk MS Team that anyone can join.
2. Promote small food businesses in Texas that work with chocolate.
3. Provide a creative atmosphere and a symbiotic relationships between the festival vendors, guests, and the media.
Participating vendors and other local licensed food companies are invited to compete in up to 9 categories of the chocolate competition. Each vendor can enter as many categories as they wish and are automatically entered into the Most Popular Sample and Best Booth categories. The guests of the festival and industry professionals will judge the competitions and the winners are based on their votes. Awards and will be given to the winners directly after the competition or delivered by mail. The 5th Annual 2011 Austin Chocolate Festival competition categories and times are listed below.

Sunday October 16th - [+Buy Tickets] 10 - 12 Best Frozen Dessert 12 - 2 Best Truffle (judged by public) 2 - 4 Best Truffle (judged by professional panel) (with music provided by The Light Parade) 2 - 4 Best Chocolate Couverture (judged by the public) (with music provided by The Light Parade) 4 - 6 Kids Cookie Decorating (Free for 1st 30 entries)(with face painting by Short'cake)
Tickets are sold in 2 hour intervals for Saturday October 15th and Sunday October 16th. If a time slot is sold out, there will not be tickets available at the door for that time slot.
Which Date & Time Slot Should I Attend the Chocolate Festival?
1. Take a look at the competition page then decide when to come to the festival based on the appeal of the competitions and convenience to you.
2. Once you have selected a date and time slot, [+purchase tickets].
3. Once you have completed your order, you will receive an e-mail shortly that says your tickets will be available for pick-up at the will call table during the festival.
4. Bring a photo ID with you to the festival, tickets are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for another time slot.
